Do you believe Jesus died on a cross?  If so, then your beliefs are WRONG according to Jehovah’s Witnesses. They view the cross as an identifier of a false Christian, who is doomed for destruction. Don’t take my word. Examine the Watchtower of May 1989, page 23 and I quote:

“There are also inanimate objects that if venerated may lead to breaking God’s commandments. Among the most prominent is the cross. For centuries it has been used by people in Christendom as part of their worship. Soon God will execute his judgments against all false religions. Those who cling to them will suffer their fate.” (Source: Watchtower May 1, 1989, p. 23)

Did you know that the Jehovah’s Witnesses used the cross on their magazines and taught that Jesus died on the cross for over 50 years? Don’t take my word. Take a look at the older Watchtower Magazines.And read their original publications like the Harp of God on page 141, and I quote:

“The cross of Christ is the greatest pivotal truth of the divine arrangement, from which radiate the hopes of men.”  (Source: The Harp of God, Rutherford, p.141)

Did you know that the Jehovah’s Witnesses now teach that Jesus died on an upright pole, not on a cross? Again, don’t take my word on it. See for yourself (zoom in on the magazine cover above) .

Why does this matter? Because if you don’t understand Jesus died rightly, then you may live wrongly. And your obedience to the Watchtower may become disobedience to God.
