“the taking of a blood transfusion, or, in lieu of that, the infusing of some blood fraction to sustain one's life is wrong.”

On serums and vaccines: vaccination is 'not in actuality a feeding or nourishing process' but 'a contamination of the human system'; quotes 15 Sep 1958 p. 575 that acceptance is 'a matter of individual judgment' while urging Christians to stay as far from it as they can.

On serums (diphtheria antitoxin) and fractions (gamma globulin): 'not the same as taking blood, either by mouth or by transfusion, as a nutrient to build up the body's vital forces.'
