Three frequently repeated citations in this subject area are inexact. The passage 'Avoid serum inoculations and vaccinations, as they pollute the blood stream with their filthy pus' is on page 107 of The Golden Age of 13 November 1929, not 12 November; the running head on that page reads 'NOVEMBER 13, 1929'. It is also not an editorial statement: it is one line in a list of health rules inside a signed article, 'The Way to Better Health', by H. W. Newcomb, which begins on page 106. And the statement that medicine 'is not founded on science' is from a signed article by the editor of an outside health magazine, not from the Watch Tower Society's own writers.

Confidence note. Scan opened; the sentence is on printed page 107, whose own running head reads "NOVEMBER 13, 1929 - THE GOLDEN AGE - 107". The by-line was confirmed from the article heading on page 106 and the issue contents list.

Confidence note. Read in the OCR text layer of the archive.org scan on 19 September 2026 on the leaves mapped to printed pages 658-660. The issue date is derived from the masthead pages either side, not from a running head on the page itself; the fortnightly 32-page issue pattern of volume X was checked across the whole volume. Scanner hyphenation closed up; the ellipsis marks an omission of about 30 words.
